Key Responsibilities
These roles are broad in scope, incorporating sales engineering as well as participating in in-house projects when required. on the client side when required.
The roles offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Engineer to develop their career in a dynamic organisation, offering an excellent salary and benefits package.
- Drive all technical aspects of the sales cycle from approval to demo and install.
- Acting as a technical advisor to our partners.
- Working with the sales managers to effect customer facing solutions design.
- Speaking with clients to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.
- Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events.
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.
- Solving client problems.
- Helping in the design of custom-made products.
- Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.
- Participation on in-house projects.
- Providing team lead / mentoring capabilities as required.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer science
- 5+ years in pre-sales experience
- Excellent presentation, communication and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent teamwork and organisation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Desirable
- Knowledge of networking protocols and virtualization
- Experience of Microsoft and *nix operating system administration
