Key Responsibilities
These roles are broad in scope, incorporating hands-on software engineering as well as taking responsibility on the client side when required.
The roles offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to develop their career in a dynamic organisation, offering an excellent salary and benefits package.
- Design and develop key components of the product suite.
- Involvement in various aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements capture, design, implementation, testing, installation and support.
- Ensuring quality software is released to the customer on time.
- Ensuring the all Quality initiative and process are followed throughout the development process.
- Working across global sites to satisfy customer commitments and deliveries.
- Assisting clients with proof of concept projects to help demonstrate the ultimate performance of our software product in customer environments and assisting with technical queries if required.
- Running benchmark analysis of our software.
- Participation on in-house projects.
- Providing team lead / mentoring capabilities as required.
Essential Criteria
- Bachelorʼs Degree (Min 2.1) in any discipline.
- At least 3 years programming experience.
- Expert level of abilities in at least 2 programming languages, one of which should be C, C++, C# or Erlang.
- Extensive experience of network programming in general and TCP/IP in particular.
- Ability to travel and work off-site for periods of time.
- A focus in high performance and achieving maximum performance from our technical environments.
- Capability of taking responsibility for work and personal and professional development.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong analytical experience.
Desirable Criteria
- Linux and/or Windows system programming.
- GUI programming, ideally on Windows.
- Protocol interception and optimization experience.
- WAN Optimization experience.
- Kernel development experience.
- A track record of contributions to open source projects.
