Brian Baird (Chair)

Brian has extensive experience in international sales and marketing in the I.T. Industry. In 2001 he was a founder of Meridio, the enterprise documents and record product company. As the CEO, he grew Meridio into a Microsoft Gold Partner company with 175 staff and over $20m annualized revenue. In November 2007 he led a trade sale of Meridio to Autonomy plc and left the company in May 2008 following a six month integration programme. Prior to founding Meridio, Brian spent 15 years with ICL, most recently as MD of ICL in Ireland. Brian was also a Non-Executive Director of Lagan Technologies – a global leader in Enterprise Case Management.

Hal Wilson

Hal has over a decade of venture capital investment experience gained in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. He is a director of: PathXL and Replify. In 2006 Hal led the sale of Crescent’s investment in Avalon Instruments to Perkin Elmer Inc. Hal joined Crescent in 2002 from Dublin based Trinity Venture Capital – Ireland’s largest dedicated technology focused venture capital fund.

Mike Bowman

Mike has over 30 years experience in the software and telecommunications industry in development, sales and management. As an entrepreneur he has set up an industrial spinout which successfully raised investment. This then led to a role in early stage investments with E-Synergy.

Mike joined E-Synergy in early 2005 and is now a Director with responsibility for the NIPSO funds in Northern Ireland and consultancy activities throughout Europe.

He has degree in Electronic Engineering from Hull University and then went on to do research into high speed timing techniques.
